This paper explores the influential role of art criticism in shaping public perception and market trends in the art world. The analysis covers various critical approaches, including formalism, Marxist criticism, and feminist criticism, highlighting how these perspectives have contributed to the understanding and valuation of art. By investigating the interplay between art critics, artists, and market dynamics, this paper underscores the significant power of critical discourse in determining the success and legacy of artworks and artists.
